His head was swimming. There was a taste on his tongue; rotten, with the gut debris that clung to his teeth. He could remember the way something - a kidney? - had burst after the long pressure his teeth had sunk into it. The way it filled his mouth and slicked down his throat. The fingers had pushed it down until he swallowed or choked. How the hand had kept his mouth shut against the hot burn of rising bile.
“That lamb becomes a predator. A permanent lion amongst his sheep.” The witch’s mouth curled; cruel and cold and teeth sharpened into fangs. Her claws ticked, like she was drumming a tune, against his chin. “But when a boy consumes the death of a were, under the right circumstances…”
There was noise, suddenly. In his head, bloodied fox teeth laughed.
“He becomes cursed to an eternal life.” She watched his eyes bleed first to amber then black, like his eyes had been hollowed from his head. She stroked one, her claw teasing the wet of his eyeball, pulling down the skin beneath. “Smile for me, boy.”
So Stiles did; showing the gore between his gums and letting the weight of innards settle in his own.
